Under the responsibility of the Business Development Manager, the incumbent fulfills the responsibilities related to sales and representation of their territory.
- Is responsible for the development and management of their territory and the sales budget according to the corporation's objectives through special presentations of current and new products in the markets.
- Is responsible for representing the company to large retail stores.
- Is responsible for product training, communication with customers regarding technical aspects of the products, problem-solving, and influencing customers' purchasing decisions.
- Is responsible for reporting to management on the activities of their territory.
- Regularly engages in prospecting activities.
- Is responsible for providing the company with feedback on field tests of new formulas or prototypes.
- Participates in the development of new products with product managers.
- Performs any other related tasks.
Skills required:
- High school diploma with 5 years of experience in sales and/or customer service and/or 5 years of experience in the flooring installation field (ceramic, carpet, vinyl, wood)
- Bilingual in spoken and written (French and English)
- Knowledge of industry standards, quality, and Mapei products
- Mathematical skills and technical writing
- Communication and negotiation skills
- Perseverance
- Able to work under pressure
- Valid driver's license
