Overview
We are looking for a creative and strategic Part-Time Marketing Strategist & Ad Script Writer to help us grow. You will develop marketing strategies and write high-converting ad scripts and content that speak to people who want to upgrade their skills, change careers, or access government-funded education in Ontario.
This is a flexible part-time role (approximately 10–20 hours per week).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine marketing strategies focused on lead generation for education consulting services
- Write compelling ad scripts and copy for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google Ads, and other platforms
- Create messaging that resonates with career changers, newcomers to Canada, and adults looking to upskill
- Help plan and structure campaigns that highlight government-funded programs, short-term career training, and college pathways
- Collaborate with the team to ensure all content aligns with NextStep Nexus’s student-first, trustworthy brand voice
- Suggest improvements to current marketing approaches based on performance and audience insights
- Produce content that drives inquiries and consultations
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience writing ad scripts or performance marketing copy (education, career training, or service-based businesses preferred)
- Strong understanding of digital marketing strategy, especially paid social and lead generation
- Ability to write clear, persuasive, and empathetic copy that builds trust
- Experience or strong interest in the education, career development, or immigration/newcomer space is a big plus
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting
- Portfolio of ad scripts, campaigns, or marketing work (required)
Nice to Have
- Experience marketing government-funded training programs, college recruitment, or career services
- Familiarity with the Ontario education and funding landscape (OSAP, Second Career, etc.)
- Knowledge of Meta Ads, Google Ads, or TikTok Ads
Pay: $30,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
