Construction Company currently seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator with a strong background in truck and trailer repairs, including running gear, frames, misc. equipment, roll off bins, and custom fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Weld and fabricate components for trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
- Repair/re-enforcing roll off container bins
- Diagnose and repair trailer frames, axles, suspensions, hitches, and running gear
- Cut, grind, and shape metal components to required specs
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and repair instructions
- Work safely with MIG, Stick, and (occasionally) TIG welding processes
- Collaborate with mechanics and other team members on repairs and rebuilds
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of welding/fabrication experience in a heavy-duty truck/trailer setting
- Strong knowledge of trailer and running gear systems
- Proficient in MIG and Stick welding (TIG an asset)
- Ability to work independently and solve problems on the fly
- Comfortable with cutting torches, plasma cutters, and fabrication tools
- Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 a bonus)
- Safety certifications (e.g., welding tickets, WHMIS, forklift) considered an asset
