As an Email Integration Specialist, you will be responsible for the successful integration and optimization of email marketing campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and data analytics, to ensure the efficient deployment of email strategies that align with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Email Platform Integration
- Manage the end-to-end integration of email campaigns within SFMC or similar platforms.
- Work closely with CRM Strategists, SFMC architects, MarTech, IT, and marketing teams to seamless data flow.
- Act as an influencer in CRM architecture decisions and conversations, contributing to scalable and future-ready solutions.
- Integrate and configure dynamic email templates using AMPscript, personalization strings, and data-driven content blocks.
- Manage Data Extensions, Send Definitions, and Subscriber Data to support campaign execution and reporting.
- Strong understanding of email rendering standards, responsive design, and cross-client compatibility testing.
Automation & Journey Development
- Build and optimize marketing automation workflows to increase efficiency
- Develop trigger-based and personalized journeys that drive engagement and conversion.
- Monitor journey health and proactively identify delivery, synchronization, or automation failures.
Data Synchronization & Integrity
- Ensure accurate and consistent customer data between SFMC (equivalent) and connected systems.
- Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve integration or data issues.
Personalization & Segmentation
- Leverage platform capabilities for targeted, personalized email experiences.
- Design and implement segmentation strategies that align with audience behavior and business goals.
- Develop advanced AMPscript logic to deliver personalized customer experiences based on behavioral, transactional, and profile data.
Testing & Optimization
- Conduct A/B testing strategies and translate performance data into actionable improvements.
- Continuously optimize for deliverability, open rates, click-through rates, and overall performance.
Reporting & Insights
- Build and maintain clear, actionable reporting on campaign performance.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve effectiveness and inform strategy.
Compliance and QA
- Ensure campaigns meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Own QA processes for campaigns, including daily and seasonal campaigns, ensuring accuracy and consistency knowing (Litmuss is an atout).
- Establish and uphold email marketing best practices across the team.
- Act as the on-call email integrator during off-hours and weekends, supporting urgent communications in crisis scenarios (e.g., show cancellations).
- Validate tracking parameters, UTM structures, survey integrations, and reporting requirements before launch.
Documentation & Process
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of workflows, processes, and initiatives.
- Use tools such as Jira, Confluence, and others to support team efficiency and knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, IT, or related field.
- 4 to 6 years in email campaign management with SFMC or equivalent platforms.
- Strong expertise in marketing automation, segmentation, and personalization.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and AMPscript (or equivalent scripting languages).
- Experience with A/B testing, performance analysis, and reporting.
- Solid understanding of email deliverability best practices.
- SFMC certification is an asset, not a requirement.
