Job Summary
Our client is a Saskatchewan-based, open-shop mechanical insulation company with over 60 years of experience. They are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Journeyperson Mechanical Insulator to join their team in Regina.
This position is ideal for a motivated journeyperson who takes pride in quality workmanship, works well with crews on active commercial construction sites, and is committed to safety and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Install, fit, and finish insulation on mechanical systems, including piping, ductwork, vessels, and equipment
Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project requirements
Measure, cut, shape, and install a variety of insulation materials and metal cladding/jacketing
Ensure all work is completed to company standards, project specifications, and applicable codes
Work safely at heights, from ladders/lifts/scaffolding, and in confined or tight spaces as required
Coordinate daily tasks with foremen, project managers, and other trades on site
Support apprentices and entry-level workers through mentorship and hands-on guidance
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Complete required company and site safety documentation as needed
Qualifications
Journeyperson certification in Mechanical Insulation (or equivalent recognized trade qualification)
Proven experience in commercial mechanical insulation installation
Strong understanding of insulation systems, jacketing/cladding, and finishing standards
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, punctual, and highly organized
Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Physically able to perform construction-related tasks, including lifting and moving materials
Valid Class 5 driver's licence (or provincial equivalent) required
Willingness and ability to travel and work outside Regina as required
Assets:
Experience leading small crews or mentoring apprentices
Fall Protection, AWP/MEWP, CSTS/SCOT, WHMIS, or other site safety certifications
Experience on institutional, healthcare, or large commercial construction projects
Ability to fabricate and install metal jacketing/cladding efficiently and accurately

Typical shifts in Regina are Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime available as needed, or Monday to Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., if work requires extended travel outside Regina. The company pays subsistence, provides a company truck, and covers accommodation costs.
