Tasting Room Associate
3Benches Estate Winery – Keremeos, BC
3Benches Estate Winery is looking for one or more individuals to cover three 5-hour shifts in our tasting room, from Friday-Sunday each week, plus Mondays on long weekends, from the end of May until the end of September. Potential to expand shifts, depending on the season.
While the ideal candidate already has some knowledge of wine and/or hospitality experience, we are able to provide on-the-job training.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening and closing of the tasting room
- Conduct tastings, and describe the wines poured
- Process payment transactions
- Perform basic administrative tasks
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the tasting room and outdoor spaces
- Assist the winemaker with tasks in the wine cellar, and/or help with orchard fruit packing as required
Qualifications/Skills
- Be able to work independently
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to operate a basic cash register and payment system
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Must be 19+ and hold a valid Serving It Right certification (or be willing to get one)
Schedule
Compensation & Benefits
- $19–$21 per hour (depending on experience), plus tips
- Staff discount on wine purchases
