Reports to: Group Receiving Manager
Responsibilities
-
Performs daily safety checklist and standard battery charging procedure.
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
-
Driving the forklift in a safe and responsible manner when moving products, pallets, and skids in the warehouse.

Load and unload skids full of finished products from the palletizer and rotating wrapper.

Maintain warehouse order to ensure pallet locations are kept available for freshly produced items.

Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns.
-
Operate RF scanner when needed.
-
Participate in process improvement by communicating to supervisor and/or team lead.
-
Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.

Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.

Other duties as assigned.
Profile
-
Valid forklift license is required
-
2+ years operating a counterbalance forklift in a shipping and receiving position is required
-
Prior experience in plant, warehouse, or manufacturing environment required
-
Good verbal and written communication skills
-
Basic math literacy is required
-
Excellent spatial awareness and organization skills with a high level of attention to detail
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
-
Ability to perform physically demanding work (lift up to 50 lbs)
-
Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) scanner an asset
-
NB: Successful candidates will be required to provide photo ID, banking details, a valid SIN number, and (if applicable) a valid work permit
