[Hiring] Kitchen Staff / Line Cook – Pelicana (Burnaby)
Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and dedicated Kitchen Staff to join our dynamic team at Pelicana in Burnaby. We specialize in authentic Korean-style fried chicken, traditional Korean dishes, and popular everyday appetizers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and providing excellent service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation and food handling for our menu, specifically focusing on Korean fried chicken, main dishes, and appetizers.
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes in accordance with our established recipes and menu specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
- Support serving staff by ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of prepared food items.
- Follow strict food safety protocols to ensure hygiene and prevent contamination.
- Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and ingredients as needed.
- Adhere to all restaurant policies and procedures to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is a huge plus, but not strictly required. If you are hard-working, passionate, and eager to learn, we are more than happy to train you!

Compensation & Schedule
- Schedule: 5 days per week.
- Wage: $2,300 semi-monthly (paid every 15 days).
- Please note: This full wage applies after the successful completion of your training period, once you are able to perform at the same operational capacity as our current staff.
