Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be working with the OHIP Physiotherapy clinic and also will be treating EHC, MVA, WSIB patients. Physiotherapist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments or disabilities. This role involves working closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that promote recovery and enhance mobility. The Physiotherapist will play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for individuals in various settings, including hospitals and pediatric care.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical conditions and needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations.
- Implement therapeutic exercises and techniques to improve mobility and function.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation exercises and strategies for ongoing care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient treatments.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in physiotherapy practices and medical terminology.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to physiotherapy and patient care.
- Experience in acute care settings, with a focus on hospital environments.
- Familiarity with pediatric and geriatric physiotherapy practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion in patient interactions.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently.
- Proficient in developing tailored rehabilitation programs that meet individual patient needs.
