We are currently looking for class 1 drivers with flat deck, SupB experience. This is a local opportunity, no long hauls. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers who want to be closer to home while still making a good wage. Applicants must have SupB, flat deck experience, have a good knowledge of Edmonton and surrounding areas. Knowledge of load securement, pre&post trip, logbook and bill of ladings are mandatory. A strong work ethic is going to be very important as this is NOT a sit behind the wheel type of job, you are doing multiple loads per day. Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods locally
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement
- Plan routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably as a local driver
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Physical fitness for heavy lifting and loading/unloading of cargo
- Familiarity with Edmonton and surrounding area
- Excellent customer service skills
