Deburrer/ Polisher
Join Our Team as a Deburrer/Polisher!
Deburrs and polishes precision CNC-machined components using hand tools, abrasives, and polishing equipment. Ensures parts meet drawing requirements, surface finish, and edge break specifications while following quality standards, work instructions, and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual and micro-deburring on a variety of materials including steel, aluminum, and plastics.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure proper deburring and polishing requirements are met.
- Ensure all parts conform to print specifications and manufacturing instructions, performing quality checks as required.
- Clean, deburr, and polish parts with close attention to detail, surface finish, and edge break requirements.
- Handle components carefully to prevent damage, maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality.
- Operate manual deburring and finishing equipment, including deburring brushes, buffing wheels, blades, and pneumatic hand tools.
- Perform repetitive hand motions using both hands in a safe and controlled manner.
- Support other production tasks and perform additional duties as required.
About You…
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is considered an asset.
- Experience: Two (2) to four (4) years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a CNC or precision machining environment.
- Certifications: No mandatory certifications required; relevant manufacturing or safety certifications are considered an asset.
- Industry / Specialized Knowledge: Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Skills: Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Verifications: Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
