Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Carpenter to oversee and coordinate construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of various building trades, and the ability to interpret technical schematics and blueprints. This role involves supervising teams, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high quality craftsmanship across diverse projects including carpentry, roofing, tiling, drywall, and other finishing work.
The Lead Carpenter will play a pivotal role in project planning, execution, and quality assurance to meet client specifications and deadlines.
A minimum of 5 years experience is STRONGLY preferred.

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise construction crews on-site, providing clear instructions and ensuring adherence to project plans and safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide project execution.
- Oversee various trades including concrete forming, carpentry, roofing, siding, tile laying, flooring installation, drywall installation, and painting.
- Coordinate material procurement and manage inventory of hand tools, power tools, and other supplies.
- Ensure proper use of hand tools and power tools while maintaining safety protocols.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the project lifecycle to ensure workmanship meets specifications.
- Estimate project timelines and resource requirements; assist with construction estimating when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment; enforce safety regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and team members to facilitate smooth operations.
- Coordinate material procurement and manage inventory of tools, and other supplies.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction trades such as carpentry, roofing, siding, tile laying, flooring installation, and other tasks related to residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics interpretation.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of restoration techniques and handyman skills are desirable.
- Electrical experience or plumbing skills are beneficial for overseeing diverse projects.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to manage teams effectively.

Pay: $30.00-$43.99 per hour
