Qualifications:
· Must have a current criminal record check with vulnerable sector search (within six months)
· Minimum Grade 12. University courses are an asset.
· Health Care Aide Certification (from acceptable institution) is an asset.
· Experience working with people with disabilities in a community setting a definite asset.

· Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written.

· Must be able to maintain confidentiality both personally and within PHIA legislation.
· Demonstrated ability to work with a minimum of supervision.

Duties
Assist tenants in the performance of the activities of daily living
· Meal Preparation and Meal Assistance
· Light Housekeeping
· Laundry
Personal care including:
· Washing, Bathing/Showering
· Toileting & Routines
· Dressing
· Grooming & Hygiene
Transfers & Repositioning:
· Using mechanical lifts
· Sliding boards
Salary
As per CUPE 4376 Collective Agreement
$181.94 - $20.46 per hour plus shift premiums for evenings, overnights, and weekends
Time and a half for all statutory holidays
