Job Opportunity:
Electrovaya designs, develops and manufactures proprietary Lithium-ion batteries, battery systems, and battery-related products for energy storage, clean electric transportation and other specialized applications. Electrovaya is seeking lab technicians to support the R&D team carrying out experimental and pilot-scale tests for innovative battery processes and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the set-up and maintenance of processing equipment
- Conduct pilot scale process experiments for materials preparation and battery component manufacturing
- Perform characterization of lithium-ion battery components -Assemble prototype battery cells and perform basic electrical testing
- Compile and organize experimental results
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and clean lab environment
- Other general lab support duties as required
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree or technical diploma (technician/technologist) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field.
- Previous experience in a research lab environment is a plus
- Able to pick up and apply new skills quickly
- Able to manage time effectively while performing multiple tasks and handle shifting priorities
- High attention to detail while performing intricate repetitive tasks
- Strong hand-eye coordination and steady hands for precise assembly
- Ability to carry out assigned tasks with little supervision
