We’re looking for a versatile Heavy Equipment Operator with underground utility and mainline installation experience who can confidently run an excavator, backhoe, and loader on civil construction projects across the Lower Mainland.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Excavating and preparing trenches for water, sanitary, and storm mainline installation
- Supporting mainline pipe installation including bedding, pipe placement, and backfilling
- Trenching and fine grading for storm, sanitary, and water systems
- Operating around live utilities (gas, hydro, fiber, water)
- Loader work: truck loading, pipe/material handling, stockpile management
- Backhoe work: service tie-ins, roadside and tight-access digging
- Supporting foremen and ground crews to keep projects safe and on schedule
- Following WorkSafeBC trench safety and traffic control standards
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Operate independently without step-by-step supervision
- Dig accurately for mainline pipe installation and maintain grade
- Read grades, slopes, and basic civil drawings
- Work confidently in live utility corridors
- Communicate clearly with ground crew and foremen
What You Bring
- 3+ years' experience operating equipment on civil / underground utility and mainline construction projects
- Proven experience on excavator, backhoe, and wheel loader
- Experience supporting mainline pipe installation (water, sanitary, storm)
- Valid BC Driver’s License with clean Driver’s Abstract is a must
Pay: $37.00-$45.00 per hour
