Location: Regina Head Office. This role is eligible for hybrid work – this means you’ll have the flexibility of working from home and in the office, on a scheduled rotation once probation requirements have been met. Until then, the successful incumbent will be expected to work on-site, full-time.
Pay Range: $75,691 - $95,521

We’re looking for a Corporate Underwriting Analyst to join our team. In this role, you’ll investigate complex underwriting questions, identify opportunities to improve guidelines and processes, and work with partners across the business to support sound underwriting decisions for SGI and its customers.
What you’ll do:
- Assess complex underwriting scenarios where guidelines may be unclear or evolving
- Identify gaps or trends and recommend improvements to guidelines or processes
- Work with Operations, Product, and Systems to resolve issues and support changes

- Have strong research skills and are comfortable gathering, analyzing, and interpreting information
- Bring strong collaboration skills and enjoy building relationships across teams and business areas
- Are comfortable challenging assumptions, making decisions with incomplete information, and proposing practical solutions
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
Typically, these skills are gained through a four-year degree in a relevant field of study, such as Business along with 5-7 years’ experience in insurance with at least 5 years in Personal Lines automobile insurance underwriting.
