We are also excited to be recruiting for a Breakfast Line Cook (Early AM Shifts) at our amazing property, Wyndham Garden Winnipeg Airport. This is a full-time position, 4-5 shifts per week and hours will be days and weekends each week, and shifts will start as early as 6:00am.
Wyndham Garden is a full-service hotel located on the first Urban Reserve in Winnipeg; the Long Plain Madison Reserve located on Treaty 1 territory. The hotel is owned by Long Plain First Nation and is operated by Sparrow Hotels. The hotel features 132 guest rooms, pool, waterslide, fitness centre, 5800 square feet of flexible meeting space, dining room, café, and 230 parking stalls.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Breakfast Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to our established recipes and standards, ensuring food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.
Duties:
1. Maintain a high-quality product in a very fast-paced line cooking environment.
2. Preparation of produce and protein.
3. Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of equipment and food storage areas.
4. Proper rotation and storage of food and cleaning supplies
5. Open to learning new techniques and ideas. Also bring creativity to the kitchen.
What you bring to the table:
1. At least 2-3 years of direct Line Cook experience in a busy/fast-paced hotel restaurant
2. A positive and hardworking attitude
3. Ability to effectively communicate with team members.
4. The ability to stay focused in a high volume, fast-paced industry and ensure accuracy and procedures are followed.
