Key Responsibilities
Set up, load, and operate the vertical shawarma spit daily
Marinate and layer meats (chicken, beef, lamb) according to our proprietary recipes
Carve and slice meat from the rotating spit with speed and precision during service
Assemble shawarma tacos, wraps, and plates to standard
Monitor meat temperature and spit rotation for food safety compliance
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of spit equipment and prep station
Assist with general kitchen prep duties during non-peak hours
Follow all Ontario food safety and HACCP guidelines
What We're Looking For
Previous experience operating a shawarma or vertical rotisserie spit preferred
Knife skills and comfort with high-volume, fast-paced cutting
Food Handler Certificate (required or willingness to obtain before start date)
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Strong attention to detail — consistency in every cut matters
Available evenings, weekends, and holidays
Positive team attitude and pride in craft
