Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that every guest has a memorable experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the POS system efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Assist in food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines in food handling and preparation.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety practices related to food handling and preparation is beneficial.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards customers and coworkers.
