Position Summary
HKC Construction is seeking an AI Systems & Automation Coordinator to support the development and implementation of internal technology initiatives across the business. This role will assist with improving workflows, reducing administrative burden, supporting reporting and KPI tracking, and helping teams use modern tools more effectively.
This is a hands-on role for someone with a strong interest in AI tools, business systems, automation, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership and internal departments to help organize data, improve processes, support automation opportunities, and contribute to internal technology projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with identifying repetitive tasks and workflow inefficiencies across departments
- Support implementation of automation, reporting, and process improvement initiatives
- Help maintain and improve internal systems, forms, trackers, and workflows
- Support KPI development, dashboard reporting, and data organization
- Help document business processes and recommend opportunities for improvement
- Assist with setup, testing, and rollout of internal digital tools and automation solutions
- Work with departments to improve visibility, consistency, and efficiency in day-to-day processes
- Support internal adoption of technology tools through training, documentation, and follow-up
- Maintain organized records, documentation, and status tracking for ongoing improvement projects
- Assist with cross-functional projects related to operations, administration, reporting, and internal systems
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in systems coordination, process improvement, automation, data/reporting, or a related role
- Strong interest in AI tools, business automation, and digital process improvement
- Comfortable working with Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook
- Exposure to Power Automate, Power BI, or similar tools is an asset
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Able to manage multiple tasks and work across different departments
- Comfortable learning new platforms and technologies quickly
Preferred Assets
- Experience with ERP or project-based business systems
- Experience with dashboards, reporting, or KPI tracking
- Experience supporting workflow improvements or automation projects
- Exposure to construction, project environments, or operations-based businesses
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform is an asset

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
