Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Cardiac Technician specializing in both Echocardiography and Stress Testing. In this role, you will play a critical part in evaluating cardiac structure and function through ultrasound imaging and stress testing procedures. Your technical expertise, attention to detail, and patient-focused approach will support physicians in diagnosing and managing cardiovascular conditions. Duties
- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) in accordance with established protocols
- Conduct cardiac stress testing (treadmill and/or pharmacologic), ensuring patient safety throughout
- Prepare and position patients, clearly explaining procedures and obtaining cooperation
- Monitor and record vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and cardiac rhythms
- Administer ultrasound contrast agents via IV in accordance with clinical guidelines and safety standards
- Acquire high-quality diagnostic images and ensure accurate documentation for physician interpretation
- Maintain, clean, and calibrate all diagnostic equipment in compliance with safety regulations
Requirements / Skills
- Current accreditation with Sonography Canada or ARDMS (required)
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and echocardiographic techniques
- Proficiency in both echocardiography and cardiac stress testing procedures
- Experience with IV insertion and administration of contrast agents is an asset.
- Ability to recognize abnormal findings and respond appropriately during testing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality patient care

We are currently looking for a commitment of two days a week. Exact details regarding working times can be negotiated. Travel allowance is available for eligible applicants.
