Overview of the Job
We are currently seeking an experienced URD Equipment Operator to join our growing team. This role is critical to our underground residential development (URD) projects, where you'll be responsible for operating heavy equipment to complete tasks such as trenching, sanding, backfilling, and site cleanup. Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating excavators, preferably in URD construction
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment maintenance
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators and backhoes to complete URD excavations.
- Transport, load, and unload equipment on job sites.
- Conduct daily pre-start inspections and complete equipment checklists
- Grease, clean, and maintain equipment to ensure proper working condition
- Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the Fleet Manager
- Perform trenching, sanding, backfilling, and general site clean-up tasks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00-$36.00 per hour
