We are currently looking for a motivated and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team.
Position Overview
As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of products throughout the warehouse. You will help maintain accurate inventory, replenish pick locations, load and unload trailers, and ensure products are handled with care while following all company safety procedures.
This is a fast-paced position that requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered warehouse equipment.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers.
- Put away received products into designated warehouse locations.
- Replenish pick slots to maintain inventory availability.
- Transport pallets throughout dry, cooler, and freezer warehouse areas.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Verify product quantities and locations using RF scanners or warehouse systems.
- Maintain accurate inventory through proper product handling and storage.
- Assist with inventory counts and warehouse organization.
- Follow all food safety, warehouse safety, and company policies.
- Keep work areas clean and free of hazards.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous forklift operating experience is preferred.
- Valid forklift certification is an asset (training may be provided for the right candidate).
- Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is an asset.
- Ability to work safely in dry, refrigerated, and freezer environments.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. when required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic computer or RF scanner experience is considered an asset.
