We are looking for an account executive to join our team and work on building two of our industry publications: Farming for Tomorrow and Business of Energy. You bring a drive to excel and a positive attitude, and we'll bring downtown office space with great energy, a commitment to seeing you succeed, and the opportunity to work with some of the greatest business leaders Western Canada has to offer.
Salary is base plus uncapped commission! Knowledge of the farming and/or oil and gas industry is an asset, but not required
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through targeted prospecting and networking efforts.
- Attend events and trade shows throughout the year
- Manage and grow existing client accounts by providing exceptional service and tailored solutions.
- Lead negotiations to close deals that align with company goals while ensuring client satisfaction.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities, manage pipelines, and analyze performance metrics.
- Prepare compelling presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure continued satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
- Provide leadership within the sales team by sharing best practices and mentoring new team members.
Experience
- Proven experience in sales, either B2B or direct to consumer
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals
- Business development expertise with the ability to generate new leads and expand existing accounts
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for managing customer relationships and sales pipelines
- Demonstrated account management capabilities with a focus on building long-term client relationships
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, motivate colleagues, and drive results.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present confidently at all levels of an organization
Pay: From $42,000.00 per year
