Position Overview
Switch It Up is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both commercial and residential electrical work, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism. Experience with fire alarm systems is considered a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities
· Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial environments
· Interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
· Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions
· Install and service lighting, panels, wiring, and related electrical components
· Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes and safety standards
· Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on schedule
· Assist with fire alarm installations and maintenance (experience considered an asset)
Qualifications
· Valid Journeyman Electrician certification
· Experience in commercial and residential electrical installations
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
· Fire alarm installation or service experience is an asset
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
· Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
