Job Overview
Ostim Ltd. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team for a major exterior building envelope project in Nova Scotia. The project includes approximately 90,000 sq. ft. of exterior scope, including HPL panels, metal siding, and roofing systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in exterior envelope construction, project coordination, subcontractor management, material procurement, scheduling, and communication with general contractors, consultants, suppliers, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate exterior building envelope work, including HPL panels, metal siding, and roofing built-up.
- Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and site instructions.
- Coordinate with the general contractor, consultants, suppliers, and internal crews.
- Track project schedule, material lead times, deliveries, manpower, and installation progress.
- Identify and communicate site issues, changes, delays, and additional work requirements.
- Prepare and manage RFIs, change order requests, submittals, meeting notes, and progress updates.
- Monitor quality control and ensure work is completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Assist with coordination of safety, access, equipment, and site logistics.
- Support deficiency tracking, closeout documentation, and final project completion.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or Site Coordinator in construction.
- Experience with exterior building envelope systems is strongly preferred, including HPL panels, metal siding, roofing, cladding, flashing, and air/vapour barrier systems.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, scheduling, and construction documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with Procore, ACC, or similar construction platforms is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to communicate in Turkish is considered an asset.
