Young Sprouts Therapy is a growing child, teen, and family therapy practice seeking a warm, skilled, and collaborative Child and Family Therapist to join our team in a part-time independent contractor role.
We are looking for a therapist who enjoys working with children and families and can offer a strong in-person presence each week. This position requires 7 to 12 hours of in-person availability per week, made up of a combination of the following preferred time slots:
- Sunday mornings and/or Sunday afternoons
- Friday evenings
- Monday evenings
- Weekday daytime hours
Some sessions may also be provided virtually depending on client needs and fit.
This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist who wants to build and maintain a part-time caseload within a supportive team environment while still maintaining independence.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a therapist with experience and/or training in working with children, teens and families. Ideal candidates may have experience, interest, or training in areas such as:
- Play therapy
- Sand tray therapy
- CBT
- Parent coaching
- Attachment-based approaches
- Family systems approaches
- Other applicable modalities
We are looking for someone who is clinically strong, reliable, relational, and comfortable working collaboratively with parents as part of the therapeutic process.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychotherapy to children, teens, and families
- Offer parent support and coaching where appropriate
- Maintain timely, professional clinical documentation
- Provide 7 to 12 hours of weekly in-person availability using a combination of preferred time slots
- Collaborate as part of a team while managing your caseload professionally and independently
- Provide some virtual sessions when appropriate
Qualifications
- Master of Social Work or Registered Psychotherapist
- Registered and in good standing with the appropriate Ontario regulatory college
- Experience providing therapy to children and families
- Strong interpersonal and clinical skills
- Training or experience in child and family-focused modalities such as play therapy, sand tray, CBT, parent coaching, attachment-based work, or systems approaches
- Ability to work in person for the required weekly hours
- Professional, dependable, and organized
