Parking Supervisor / Enforcement Officer - Kelowna
Concord Parking is searching for an energetic, highly organized Parking Supervisor with Enforcement Officer duties to join our parking enforcement team in Kelowna.
Scope of Position
The Field Supervisor position is a multi-faceted leadership position which is responsible for managing all Field Operational activities as well as active daily patrols. Daily duties include conducting daily enforcement runs, the supervision and training of Parking Enforcement Officers, responding to concerns from customers, parking equipment maintenance and repairs, payment machine audits, parking lot audits, staff missed shift coverage and assistance, and additional tasks as required. They also may perform administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, performance reviews, and recording critical operational information.
Key Responsibilities

Assists with day-to-day operations, enforcement and supervision of field staff, including ticketing, scheduling, orientation, training, and ensuring site-specific policies and procedures are followed.

Meets regularly with field staff to build relationships, provide guidance, support, coaching and oversight, and to assist with staff performance management.

Provide coverage wherever/whenever necessary to cover sick days, vacations, and other staff shortages.

Completing and reporting inspections, incidents, and accidents according to established procedures.

Performs site and staff audits for quality assurance of services delivered in accordance with company policies.

Ensure all parking site regulations are followed in contracted sites and issue detailed and accurate citations for parking violations incurred, while maintaining a courteous and professional relationship with customers, vendors, staff and managers.

Correctly scan vehicle license plates using the Concord parking patrol vehicle and conduct parking lot patrols in accordance with parking plans and site rules.

Conduct mobile and foot patrols, operate Autovu (Patroller) for patrolling sites and use the provided handheld device to issue accurate and concise violation tickets to vehicles as required.

Check pay stations regularly to maintain cleanliness and functionality and report and/or fix any issues that may arise with pay stations.

Inspect location signage and rates, clearing trash and reporting if any additional maintenance is required.

Report any motor vehicle defects discovered in daily inspection or accidents in a safe and timely manner to the Manager. Parking Enforcement Officers are required to take photos of any damage and complete any necessary paperwork, such as, but not limited to, Incident Reports.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

Grade 12 or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

Class 5 BC driver’s license for a minimum of 2 years, with a clean driving abstract

Access to personal vehicle for work and must insure vehicle for business use.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and Adobe.

Proficiency in the English language, written and verbal is necessary; proficiency in another language is an asset.

Excellent communication and interpersonal ‘soft’ skills.

Knowledge of the parking industry and general knowledge of parking operations.

Ability to stand, drive and walk throughout the 8 hour shift.

Demonstrable ability to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced and pressurized environment.

Demonstrate out-of-the-box and solution-oriented thinking.

Ability to be adaptable, flexible and use common sense.

Confidence in conflict resolution.

A combination of experience and education will be considered.
Personal Vehicle for business use is required - Car/gas allowance provided.
Shifts: 8-Hour shifts between 8 AM to 4 PM; Monday to Friday. Occasional weekends, evenings and/or statutory holidays may be required.
Full-time Position
Starting wage: $25.00
Area of Mobile Patrol: Kelowna, Westbank and surrounding areas
