Duties
- Operate and maintain farm machinery such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems to ensure smooth daily operations
- Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance on equipment using hand tools and power tools
- Perform heavy lifting tasks related to loading, unloading, and moving farm supplies or produce
- Utilize basic math skills for measuring inputs, calculating quantities, and recording data accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipment to promote safety and efficiency
Experience
- Prior experience working with farm machinery or in an agricultural setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with maintenance procedures is advantageous
- Basic understanding of horticulture principles and crop management practices is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively is highly desirable
- Comfort with using hand tools, power tools, and performing physical labor involving heavy lifting
- Strong attention to detail combined with good communication skills for teamwork and reporting tasks
