Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and customer-focused Kitchen Designer to join our team. This is a client-facing position that involves meeting with homeowners to understand their needs, preferences, and lifestyle requirements, and translating those needs into functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen and interior designs. The successful candidate will combine strong design skills with excellent communication and project coordination abilities.
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to discuss project requirements, design preferences, budgets, and functional needs.
- Conduct design consultations and provide professional recommendations on layouts, materials, finishes, colours, lighting, and fixtures.
- Prepare project estimates and detailed specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and construction documents.
- Develop detailed floor plans, elevations, cross-sections, construction drawings, and 3D renderings.
- Design custom kitchens, cabinetry and vanities.
- Create customized design solutions based on client needs and project requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, engineers, and production teams throughout the design process.
- Provide project updates and support clients from initial consultation through project completion.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building standards and project specifications.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years or experience in kitchen design, architectural design, or a related field.
- Strong client communication and consultation skills.
- Ability to understand client needs and translate them into practical design solutions.
- Proficiency with 20/20 Design software.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with residential construction, kitchen cabinets, and vanities is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
