Mid Valley Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Welder – Install & Service Technician to join our team in Abbotsford, BC. We are a local manufacturing and service company specializing in cattle handling equipment, including stanchions, gates, scrapers, compost turners, and various other components. Additionally, we provide and service the full lineup of Val Metal products, including separators, pumps, and manure scrapers.
Job Responsibilities
- Assembly and installation of new equipment
- Maintenance and service of existing farm equipment
- Trouble shoot and repair damaged farm equipment
- Work with manure pumps, manure scrapers, automated controls, general farm repairs
- Work in a farm environment around animals
- Ability to work out town an asset
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in stick and MIG welding (welding ticket an asset but not required)
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team and take ownership of assigned work
- Ability to perform physical tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Interest and aptitude in electronics, hydraulics, and farm equipment mechanics
