Level II Dental Assistant Wanted (Perio/Implant Specialty)
Large, dynamic, multi-disciplinary clinic located downtown Toronto is seeking an experienced and dedicated Level II Dental Assistant to join our growing dental team. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting the dentist/specialist during procedures, managing patient comfort, and ensuring smooth clinical operations. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping patients achieve optimal oral health.
Position Overview
- Schedule: full-time position
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of dental assisting
- Certification: NDAEB Level II certification required
- Specialty: Advanced proficiency in periodontal and implant surgeries
Key Responsibilities
- Surgical Assisting: Chairside assisting for complex periodontal and dental implant procedures.
- Sterilization: Managing strict infection control protocols and sterile field preparation.
- Patient Care: Providing pre- and post-operative instructions and managing patient comfort.
- Clinical Imaging: Taking accurate digital radiographs and intraoral scans.
- Team Collaboration: Working seamlessly with periodontists, general dentists, and hygienists.
- Manage patient records using dental practice management software including Abel Dent, DTX digital impressions, etc.
- Strong understanding of infection control standards and sterilization procedures.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns or questions throughout their visit.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures performed and materials used
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Pay: $20.52-$34.43 per hour
