Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children while supervising staff and coordinating activities. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives and support early childhood development through effective leadership and care giving.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support teaching staff to ensure high-quality care and educational activities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote learning and social skills
- Monitor the safety and well-being of children at all times, adhering to licensing regulations and safety protocols
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, concerns, and daily updates
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment conducive to learning and play
- Assist with on boarding, training, and evaluating staff members to foster professional growth
- Manage daily administrative tasks such as attendance records, meal planning, and activity schedules
- Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive environment that supports children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed child care/daycare supervisor in Ontario
- RECE in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (required/preferred where applicable)
- Strong knowledge of CCEYA and Ontario child care licensing requirements
- Proven experience leading teams and managing Centre operations
- Passion for Montessori and child-led learning approaches
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Comfortable using social media for engagement and marketing
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check
