Position: AV Programmer
Summary
The AV Programmer is responsible for designing, developing and implementing software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create cutting edge applications and systems that deliver exceptions user experiences. Proficiency in Python, C++, AND C# (C Sharp) programming languages is required to excel in this role.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain audiovisual control system programs
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, project managers and end users to define software requirements and specifications.
- Design and implement efficient code and optimize software performance.
- Conduct thorough testing and verification of software functionality, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and debug software defects, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Technical documentation
- Meet all installation deadlines as set by the Project Manager or Service Dispatcher.
- Ability to update ticketing system in a timely and concise manner.
- Other duties as required or assigned by company management/supervisor.
Accountability/Reporting
The AV Programmer will report to the Integration Services. Secondary accountability will be to the Project Manager / Service dispatcher, other management team members, employees, and customers of the company.
Qualifications
· Strong proficiency in Python, C++, AND C# (C Sharp) programming languages.
· 3 Years experience in similar programming role in the AV industry.
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and debug complex software issues.
· Familiarity with version control systems for code management and collaboration.
· Education: a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications or formal training in AV systems, engineering, or related fields are advantageous i.e. AVIXA CTS certification, Crestron, QSC, Extron training.
· Excellent teamwork and communication skills
· AVIXA CTS certification is an asset.
· Familiarity with control systems such as Crestron, Extron & QSC
· Valid drivers license and personal vehicle required.
· Must have or be able to qualify for Government Security clearance.
Travel
Some out-of-town travel will be required for on-site AV system installations project deployments, service and education.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, flexible to work after hours and weekends when required.
