Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager/Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations of our bar and restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food and beverage service, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and managing overall restaurant operations to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily bar and restaurant operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of service.
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling procedures.
- Supervise staff including training, and performance management to foster a motivated team environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food industry practices.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Monitor restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, and safety protocols in line with health regulations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and reconcile daily sales reports.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within the food service or hospitality industry.
- Extensive restaurant management experience, including team management and customer service excellence.
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols.
- Experience operating POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms.
- Background in restaurant or hotel management is preferred.
- Previous roles involving food handling, serving, or barista experience are advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to interview staff candidates effectively.
