Job description:
JDS Energy & Mining Inc is seeking applications for an Underground Electrician for an Underground Development Contract in Cariboo Region of BC. JDS has been the primary underground contractor onsite for the past two years and is task to complete over 27km of development. The Project is located approximately 180km south of Prince Geroge, BC and is a camp-based project.
Certificates/Qualifications:
- Journeyman Industrial Electrician
- All on site employees will be required to be able to get and maintain a valid driver’s license, TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods), and WHMIS
- First Aid Training (OFA 1-3) would be considered an asset
- The ability to work in extreme weather conditions depending on the season
- All positions must be physically fit and able to lift up to 70lbs.
Schedule:
- Rotations will be 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off.
- 12hour a day shift
- Day Shift Position with possible Night Shift emergency call outs.
Renumeration:
- Competitive pay with total compensation commensurate with working experience.
- Hourly wage is paid as per BC labour laws (OT after 8 hours a day and 40 hours a week).
- Sliding scale bonus based on development productivity, target set at CA$45.00 per hour.
