Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various fabrication processes. This role involves working with metals and other materials to create high-quality products while ensuring safety and efficiency in the workplace. We currently have 5 positions available 2 on days and 3 on afternoons. With a pay range of $25-$32/hr.
Responsibilities
- Operate welding equipment to fabricate and assemble metal structures and components.
- Utilize plasma cutting techniques to shape materials as per specifications.
- Employ hand tools, power tools, and machinery for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine project requirements.
- Conduct quality control inspections on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve fabrication processes.
- Use measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure precision in fabrication.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various power tools and hand tools effectively.
- Familiarity with rigging practices and forklift operation is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation, including blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Prior experience in machining is advantageous but not required.
- Current CWB Ticket for FCAW, MCAW, GMAW in flat/horizontal will be given priority
- Willingness to work on afternoon shift will be given preference
