Overview
We are seeking an energetic, technically minded, and customer-focused Sales and Installation Specialist to join our team. In this dual role, you will be the face of our brand—helping customers select the perfect fitness equipment for their homes and ensuring that same equipment is delivered, assembled, and installed safely and professionally.
The ideal candidate is passionate about fitness, possesses excellent interpersonal skills, and is highly handy with tools and mechanical assembly.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, assess their fitness goals, and recommend appropriate equipment (treadmills, ellipticals, home gyms, free weights, etc.).
- Conduct engaging product demonstrations to highlight features, safety components, and technology integrations.
- Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom floor.
- Process transactions accurately using our Point of Sale (POS) system and handle financing inquiries.
2. Delivery & Technical Installation
- Load, transport, and deliver heavy fitness equipment to residential and commercial customer locations safely.
- Unbox, assemble, and precisely calibrate complex mechanical and electronic fitness machinery according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Test all installed equipment to guarantee it operates safely and correctly before leaving the site.
- Educate customers on basic equipment operation, console setup, and routine maintenance before completing the job.
- Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance or repairs on floor models and customer returns.
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in retail sales, customer service, or a hands-on mechanical field (assembly, delivery, moving, or appliance installation).
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads (often up to [75/100 lbs]) repeatedly throughout the day. Comfortable standing for long periods.
- Technical Aptitude: Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and reading mechanical assembly blueprints/manuals.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills with a friendly, consultative approach to sales.
- License: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (required for driving delivery vehicles).
- Passions: An interest in fitness, health, or sports is highly preferred.
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
