Under Pressure Utility Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Utility Pole Inspector to join our field team. This is a hands-on outdoor position performing condition assessments on utility infrastructure including hydro poles and padmount equipment. Burlington / GTA
This role is suited for someone comfortable working independently in the field, documenting asset conditions, and maintaining productivity targets.
Responsibilities
- Inspect overhead utility poles for structural condition and defects
- Perform padmount transformer inspections and equipment documentation
- Record findings using handheld/mobile inspection software
- Identify rot, cracks, lean, hardware defects, and safety hazards
- Take clear field photos and notes for engineering review
- Travel between sites daily (company vehicle may be provided depending on arrangement)
- Follow utility safety procedures and traffic control requirements
Requirements (MANDATORY)
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to walk long distances and work around roadside environments
- Valid G driver’s licence with clean abstract
- Basic understanding of electrical distribution assets
- Reliable and punctual
Preferred (Not Required but Valuable)
· Previous experience inspecting utility assets
- Utility locate or linework background
- Civil construction background
- Experience using inspection apps (IML, Fulcrum, Collector, etc.)
Compensation
- $30-32 per hour
- Full-time seasonal / contract work
