Parts Coordinator
Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and organized Parts Coordinator to support our busy auto body shop operations. The Parts Coordinator is responsible for receiving, inspecting, tracking, and organizing automotive parts for collision repair jobs while ensuring technicians have the correct parts available when needed.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming automotive parts for accuracy and damage
- Match parts with repair orders and distribute them to technicians
- Label, organize, and maintain parts storage areas
- Track parts status, backorders, and returns
- Process and document returned or damaged parts
- Maintain accurate inventory and parts records
- Assist estimators and technicians with parts identification and verification
- Keep the parts department clean, organized, and safe
- Communicate with team members regarding parts availability and delays
- Support efficient workflow and repair scheduling within the body shop
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in an automotive body shop or parts department preferred
- Knowledge of automotive parts and collision repair processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer and inventory system knowledge
- Ability to lift and move automotive parts as required
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with body shop management or estimating software
- Familiarity with OEM and aftermarket automotive parts
- Inventory control experience
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Pay: $17.20-$25.00 per hour
