Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer focused Used Car Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for assisting customers in finding the perfect pre-owned vehicle, guiding them through the sales process, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers warmly, establish rapport, and actively listen to understand their preferences, budget, and vehicle requirements. Provide exceptional service by addressing inquiries, demonstrating vehicle features, and offering test drives.
- Product Knowledge: Develop an in-depth understanding of the dealership's inventory, including vehicle specifications, features, pricing, and available financing options. Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments to effectively advise customers and address their questions.
- Consultative Sales: Utilize a consultative sales approach to guide customers through the vehicle selection process, tailoring recommendations based on their preferences, lifestyle, and budget. Provide transparent information regarding pricing, financing, warranties, and additional services to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate sales terms, including price, trade-in value, financing options, and additional accessories or services, while maintaining profitability for the dealership. Close sales efficiently and professionally, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and adheres to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate long-term relationships with customers through regular communication, follow-up, and personalized service. Maintain contact with past customers to encourage repeat business, referrals, and positive reviews.
- Sales Performance: Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics established by dealership management, including monthly sales quotas, customer satisfaction scores, and gross profit margins. Continuously strive to improve sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service skills to enhance performance.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete sales-related paperwork, documentation, and recordkeeping accurately and in a timely manner. Enter customer information, sales transactions, and vehicle inventory updates into the dealership's CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues from various departments, including finance, service, and inventory management, to ensure a seamless customer experience and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.
- Tech Proficiency: Proficiency in using CRM software, sales management tools, and other technology platforms to manage customer interactions, track sales activities, and generate reports.
Experience
- We require at least 1 to 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the automotive or retail industry.
- Bilingual proficiency (English plus another language) is a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and basic math skills for transaction processing
- Experience in merchandising, product demos, or technical sales is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities
- Proven ability to upsell products and enhance customer engagement through effective sales techniques
- Valid Driver's License: Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record to conduct test drives and deliver vehicles to customers.
Licence/Certification:
Pay: $36,000.00-$200,000.00 per year
