Job Summary
We are seeking experienced crane operators (crawler cranes) to join our team and work on various drilling sites across British Columbia. You need to have previous experience with crawler cranes on drilling/pile driving projects, and a valid crane certification.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate cranes for our projects in B.C. and other provinces.
- Assist with crane set up and tear down.
- Calculate crane capacities, determine proper load weight, set up, and position,
- Perform pre-inspections and ensure equipment maintenance is being done.
- Identify potential issues or equipment problems that may arise.
- Train crew and other staff, as necessary.
- Help crew in the field when necessary (equipment operation, labour work).
- Perform other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- · Excellent hand-eye-foot coordination with the ability to operate crane controls safely and efficiently.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand crane systems, equipment operation, and basic maintenance requirements.
- Ability and willingness to work safely at heights in varying weather and site conditions.
- Good visual acuity, depth perception, and spatial awareness required to safely maneuver equipment and loads.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and follow oral and written instructions, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Ability to identify operational or safety concerns and promptly report issues to appropriate personnel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and manipulate heavy materials and equipment as required.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to adhering to all company safety policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary school or equivalent.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a similar crane operating role.
- Valid crane operator certification/license as required by provincial or regulatory authorities.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record preferred.
Working conditions
- Repetitive physical tasks with limited rest periods during operational activities.
- Regular work is performed outdoors in varied weather and environmental conditions.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, and handling heavy materials and equipment.
- Exposure to dust, mud, noise, vibration, and other challenging site conditions.
- Overtime, extended hours, and weekend work may be required based on operational demands.

Pay: $45.00-$57.00 per hour
