Vorollo is recruiting on behalf of a confidential employer - a commercial fish processing and offloading facility in Port Edward, BC (15-20 min from Prince Rupert).
This is a hands-on general labour role at a working fish plant and dock. Season runs March through early December, with potential on-call work during the off-season.
What You'll Be Doing
- Fish processing and grading on the production line
- Icing fish and preparing product for shipping
- Dock and plant support during vessel offloads
- Facility cleaning, sanitation, and general upkeep
- Maintenance tasks during slower periods (painting, organizing, pressure washing)
- Assisting other departments as needed - every day looks a little different
What We're Looking For
- Comfortable on your feet all day in a cold, wet environment
- Willing to wear rubber boots and full PPE for your shift
- Available for extended hours and 7-day weeks during peak season (May - November)
- Reliable, punctual, team player
- Experience in fish processing, food production, or industrial labour is an asset - but not required, we train the right people
- Must be local to Prince Rupert / Port Edward, or fully prepared to self-relocate with housing secured before your start date
Compensation & Details
- Pay: $20.00/hr to start - grows based on performance and skills
- Substantial OT available during peak season
- Potential on-call work through the off-season
- In-person, Port Edward BC
