We are looking for someone who can make a positive first impression of our establishment. The cashier will greet guests upon arrival, show guests to their table and take their payment as they leave.
The cashier will also need to answer the phones and fill to-go orders/room services when needed. Availability must include days, nights and weekends, with most shifts being 10-2pm Monday through Friday and /or an 4:00-7:30 pm shift Monday-Sunday at this time. This position may include one full weekend of split shifts (10/9am-2pm and 4:00-7:30pm) on Saturday and Sunday as well.
Responsibilities:
- Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to their appropriate table
- Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service ie. take reservations correctly
- Help restaurant staff by setting and clearing tables; replenishing water; serving beverages
- Receive payments
- Reconcile cash drawer by proving cash transactions; listing debits and credit card charges match the till receipts
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Requirements:
- Must be able to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance
- Must be able to hear well in a loud environment in order to answer telephone and respond to guest requests
- Must be able to walk and stand during entire shift
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and wipe
- Must be able to use a POS terminal/debit machine
- Must be able to count back cash to customers after transactions are complete

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Camrose, AB T4V 3K3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Cashiering: 1 year (preferred)
