We are currently hiring for an AM Shunt Driver at our Edmonton, Alberta location.
Job Description:
Freight Distribution and yard shunt truck
- Handle a high volume of freight for delivery to our terminals in Alberta
- Use forklift to move freight
- Attention to detail to prevent misdirected freight
- Careful handling of freight to prevent damage
- Movement of trailers in and out of dock doors
- Inspection of truck and forklift on daily basis
- Maintain routine communication with dispatch/yard control regarding the placement of trailers both in door and in the drop lot
- Follow safe operating procedures at all times
- Inspect trailers
Successful Candidate must be/have:
- Preference given to those with forklift and shunt truck experience
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle a heavy work load
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- LTL Freight experience an asset
- Ability to pass a criminal record check and fit for work testing, including a drug test.
