We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster developmental growth through innovative teaching methods. This role involves working closely with children, parents, and team members to support early learning and development in a supportive classroom setting.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining detailed records of developmental milestones.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities and share best practices for early childhood education.
- Manage classroom routines, including transitions, meal times, and rest periods efficiently.
- Incorporate bilingual instruction (English/French) when applicable to enhance language development.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of children with disabilities or special educational requirements.
- Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes.
- Maintain organizational standards for classroom cleanliness and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Proficiency in computer operation, including basic software for documentation and communication purposes.
- Classroom experience demonstrating leadership, organization, time management, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Strong writing skills for maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with families.
