Linden Fabricating is looking for a reliable Shop Labourer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn the metal fabrication trade, work with their hands, and grow into a skilled position on our shop floor.
What You'll Do
- Assist fabricators and welders with material handling, staging, and setup
- Load, unload, and move materials using hand trucks, forklifts, or overhead cranes (training provided)
- Cut, grind, deburr, and clean parts as directed
- Order picking & prepare parts for shipment
- Unload trucks and receive incoming materials
- Keep the shop floor, tools, and equipment clean and organized
- Empty garbage and recycling bins
- Assist with maintenance tasks within the shop and office areas
- Help with basic assembly and prep work
- Lawn maintenance and snow removal
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Support other shop tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well with a team
- Comfortable with physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
- Basic mechanical aptitude a plus
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and construction site support is desirable
- Valid certification for forklift operation, crane operation, or clamp truck handling is highly valued
- Must be willing to help out wherever needed
- High school diploma
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
