- General clean up of shop, yard and machines
- Assisting Journeyperson Mechanics as required
- Minor service of machines (oil changes etc.)
- General service shop duties and additional duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Mechanically inclined, self-starter ability to follow directions, work well within a team environment and contribute positively to a team environment
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work successfully under minimal supervision
- Past experience in a maintenance shop environment, mechanical experience, and forklift certification would be considered assets
Important Information:
- This position is based in Elkford, BC on a 7x7 rotation. (Dayshift)
- Hours and shift schedule may be subject to change to meet customer and/or Finning (Canada) requirements. Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement
- Must be 18 years of age and hold a valid class 5 driver’s license
- Must be able to pass Drug and Alcohol testing to access mine site. (In the event of an incident)
