We are seeking an Asbestos Site Supervisor to oversee asbestos-related projects and manage a few abatement teams. The candidate should have a background in asbestos abatement or construction supervision. This role requires an understanding of asbestos handling procedures, safety protocols, and environmental regulations to protect workers and the environment. The Asbestos Site Supervisor will play a critical role in supervising asbestos abatement projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with all applicable standards.
Duties
- Oversee asbestos removal and abatement projects from initiation to completion
- Supervise and coordinate teams performing cleaning and removal activities using a variety of tools.
- Ensure work complies with local regulations governing asbestos handling and disposal
- Conduct site inspections to monitor safety practices and project progress
- Manage the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for team members
Qualifications
- Prior experience in asbestos abatement (preferred)
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of tools to ensure safe application in hazardous environments
- Understanding of OHS regulations related to asbestos
- Ability to lead teams effectively
- All certifications can be paid for if interested.
Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour
