Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Worker to join our team. This role involves engaging with children and young individuals, including those with disabilities, to support their development and well-being. The Youth Worker will create a positive, inclusive environment that fosters growth, learning, and social interaction. Duties
- Plan and implement engaging activities tailored to the needs of children and youth, including those with disabilities
- Provide one-on-one support and mentorship to foster social skills and emotional development
- Assist in creating an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Support children during recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities
- Collaborate with team members, parents, and caregivers to develop individualized plans for participants
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during activities and outings
- Document progress and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding participant needs and achievements
- Maintain a clean, organized activity space conducive to learning and interaction
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or youth in educational, recreational, or therapeutic settings preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to teach or facilitate group activities effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with youth and their families
- Knowledge of best practices for inclusive education and behavior management is a plus
- Ability to remain patient, flexible, and compassionate in diverse situations

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
